i really dunno what and how to describe my schedule.
what do you think?
the last time was the first time in my life i declared myself a workaholic.
7 days straight of work.
this time round, and not long after,
10 days in a row.
Day 1, Thur: 9pm - 8am
Day 2, Fri: 9pm- 8am
Day 3, Sat: 9pm- 8am
Day 4, Sun: 8am - 1pm
Day 5, Mon: 8am - 430pm, 9pm - 12am
Day 6, Tue: 8am - 9pm
Day 7, Wed: 8am - 9pm
Day 8, Thur: 8am - 430pm
Day 9, Fri: 8am - 430pm, 5pm-6pm
Day 10, Sat: 8am - 1pm
(hey, whatever happened to "5 days work week"??)
Seriously, i've already lost track of time.
weekends really don't feel like weekends to me anymore.
i mean hey, it's Sunday and it's Family day for most,
it's time for gatherings with friends and bfs and gfs,
it's a day where some sits down and spend the late morn sipping English Breakfast tea.
i rmb i used to love Sundays,
cos it just feels different when you are able to rise after a good rest,
relax for the rest of the day,
and prepare for the long week ahead.
now, Sundays can have different meanings in life for me.
Sunday can become the day where i greet patients who needs my services.
it can become hectic -
resuscitations, COA, ward rounds, tentage, CTs
and i get to see and hear diff things -
blood, open fractures, lacerations, drunkards, complaints, demands
work is like just waking up and preparing to fight another biological warfare everyday.
all i can think about is getting into that warzone and start WORKING.
i hate those irregular, long, tiring hours and demands.
but sometimes, learning new things, meeting new & nice people each time, knowing i have tried my best to help my patients, and making them smile,
can just simply make my day :)
it's really a love and hate life.
i guess that's why though i'm complaining about my 10-days of continuous war,
i'm not hating it yet :)
but nothing beats,
Record Breaker:
HY, who worked ONE MONTH NON STOP.
yes, with not even a SINGLE day OFF.
for bloody ONE MONTH.
lol.
welcome to my life.
